Privacy Policy
Glyphaus is designed as a local macOS utility. The app downloads public iconset archives only when you request them, then stores icon metadata and recent activity on your Mac.
Information We Collect
Glyphaus does not require an account and does not collect personal information inside the app, including your name, email address, payment information, contacts, photos, location, or other user-provided personal content. The app stores its local database in your macOS Application Support folder so it can index downloaded iconsets, remember recent icons, and keep user color choices available on your device.
Network Requests
Glyphaus connects to the Glyphaus iconset server to list public iconsets and download selected iconset archives. Standard server logs may include technical request information such as IP address, request path, user agent, and timestamp for security, diagnostics, and abuse prevention.
To help protect the Glyphaus iconset service from abuse, excessive automated requests, and service misuse, the app creates a random client identifier on first launch. This identifier is stored locally on your Mac and sent with requests to the Glyphaus server. It is not your name, email address, Apple ID, device serial number, or advertising identifier. We use it only for service operation, security, abuse prevention, diagnostics, and rate limiting. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or use it to track you across apps or websites.
Local Files and Clipboard
When you copy an icon, Glyphaus places the selected SVG, PNG, or code representation on the macOS clipboard. Clipboard contents are handled by macOS and are not sent to Glyphaus servers by the app.
Sharing and Sale of Data
We do not sell personal data. We do not share app data with third parties except as necessary to operate the public iconset server, comply with law, or protect the service.
